i bought this case because the advertisement said that it was all plywood construction and it was a quality case, however when i received it the first thing i noticed was that one of the metal feet on the bottom was missing, and then i noticed that the strap that holds the lid up when you open it is too short and the case lid will not stay open unless you hold it, and then i noticed that the lid is kind of springy and when you try to latch it you have to force the lid down just a bit to close the latch. in short this case is ok if you are on a budget, but it is not of the quality that they say that it is

This fit an old cheap banjo I had perfectly. Much nicer then the stock one I had on it. I would compare it to what comes stock on a Gold Tone (Looks the same as whats on my Gold Tone). Seems well made. If you have a cheap banjo, then this is a good inexpensive, easy upgrade. Put this on a rogue with new strings and enjoy.

Right off, let me say how impressed I was with the fast delivery. I ordered on May 31 and got delivery on June 3! I am always reticent to order anything which says "Be the first to review this product." But I wanted multi-color, and Aquila was the endorsing firm ("Aurora strings by Aquila"). The price was fair so I bit. It took longer than I planned to install them, but they sound very bright, clean, and warm. I put them on a high end, gloss-finished, spruce top concert model, and the sound is bright and vibrant. They've been on for about 24 hours and are still going through the stretching phase. Hopefully, they'll settle in soon and hold tuning better. For now, they look and sound great, but I can't get through a song without it them going out of tune. When they hold tuning for an hour practice or performance, maybe we'll see five stars. More to come...June 19 - It's been two full weeks now and they are still stretching. Whether it's overnight or a couple days, they are at least a half-tone flat. I tightened the machines after about a week, but that apparently wasn't the problem. I'll write again if they ever stop stretching. We'll keep those four stars for now.
