If I ever meet Barbara Barber again I'm going to kiss her feet while thanking her profusely. The last time I met her, many moons ago, she had not yet published this series, which is wonderful. Most of the fingerings are just what I want them to be, the selections are varied and not boring, its just a wonderful series. She's something big in the Suzuki America thing, I believe, and Suzuki is a great violin method, but suffers because American students don't have Japanese mothers. This series helps us expand the students' répertoire without having to bore them to death and without having to move them along faster than they should go.
I suppose I should mention, I am the violin teacher.
