When this item was first shipped to me, only half of it arrived. I got the main lyre part, but the ring was missing. Amazon was kind enough to mail me a replacement within a week, so that is not the main reason for the rating. That would be the poor quality. I attached this to my clarinet and got it adjusted so the music would be facing me (always a plus). I opened the clip so I could put a flip folder in. At that point, the item broke. It snapped off where the part that sitcks out from the ring is. Now it is completely unusuable and I will be getting a lyre from some other manufacturer without even getting to try this.
